This project is to establish the feasibility and acceptability of a Mindfulness-Based Intervention for pre-clerkship medical students, Enhanced Stress Resilience Training (ESRT). ESRT, developed at UCSF, is tailored for the culture and logistical constraints of medical training. This study will be facilitated by 5 Learning Community Institute medical schools.
1. Identify several impacts of chronic, unmanageable, stress on medical students.
2. Describe how a mindfulness-based intervention can mitigate student stress.
3. Identify advantages of facilitating a mindfulness-based intervention through Learning Communities.
